How our reviews work.

The most common questions about our review process, our scoring system, and why our rankings look the way they do.

1. Why do you review these tools?

The Instagram viewer space is overrun with low-effort affiliate sites, scams, and tools that vanish overnight. Our readers deserve a single, trustworthy resource that actually tests every tool. That's why we exist.

2. How do scores work?

Every tool is scored on 5 weighted factors: Privacy (25%), Speed (20%), Features (20%), UX (20%), and Value (15%). Each factor gets a raw 0-10 subscore; the weighted sum becomes the final score. Full methodology on our How We Test page.

3. Why is GoomView #1?

Because it scored 9.6 - the highest of any tool we have ever tested. Highest privacy score (no logging, no tracking pixels), strong speed, full feature set, ad-free UX, and 100% free. It is not #1 because of commission rates (it does not pay our highest rate). It is #1 because the math says so. See our affiliate disclosure for the firewall details.

4. Are reviews paid?

No. No tool can pay us for a review or for a higher score. We do earn affiliate commission when readers click out and convert - that's how we fund the site - but commission rates have no influence on rankings or content.

5. How often are reviews updated?

Every Monday we retest the entire Top 15 for speed and basic functionality. Once a month, one tool gets a full deep-dive re-audit. Any major event (Instagram pushes an anti-scraping update, a tool changes pricing, etc.) triggers an out-of-cycle retest within 72 hours.

6. Can tools pay to be added to the rankings?

No. We add tools to the testing queue based on reader requests, search trends, and our own market scans. A tool's affiliate status is decided after testing, never before.

7. What happens if a tool changes after we publish?

It gets retested. If a tool introduces a price hike, removes a feature, or starts injecting ads, the change is captured in the next weekly retest and the score updates accordingly. Significant changes trigger a callout banner on the review page.

8. How do you handle scam tools?

If a tool requests Instagram login credentials, runs malicious ads, or fails to deliver the service it claims, it is immediately delisted from our rankings. The corresponding review page is updated with a "DELISTED" banner and a documented reason. We never quietly remove tools - readers deserve to know what we found.

9. Why aren't certain popular tools listed?

A tool may be missing because (a) it failed our minimum safety bar during testing, (b) it has gone offline or become inconsistent, or (c) it is on the queue but not yet reviewed. If you think a tool deserves a spot, email [email protected].

10. How do I contact editorial?

Email [email protected] or use our contact form. We respond within 48 hours on weekdays. For tip-offs about a new tool, mention "Tool tip" in the subject line.
